Many pastors and churches are not adequately equipped for the weight of what people are carrying into their buildings on Sunday morning. Trauma. Sexual confusion. Shattered marriages. Addictions nobody will name out loud. Grief that has curdled into bitterness. Depression wearing the mask of spiritual dryness.
These things do not go away when we look past them from the pulpit.

Too many churches are cursing the fire instead of learning how to put it out. And the people inside those churches — the ones quietly falling apart — are being left with two options: suffer in silence, or go to the world for answers that the Word of God already has.
That is not a counseling problem. It is a discipleship failure.
The local church was never meant to hand the hurting off to someone else. Scripture does not say, “Refer one another.” It says, “Admonish one another” (Romans 15:14). It says, “Comfort one another” (1 Thessalonians 5:11). The ministry of care belongs to the body of Christ — and the body needs to be equipped to carry it.

*Counseling Team pricing is a flat rate of $2,500 per church for up to four participants from the same church. This option is designed to help churches train two counseling pairs. Churches may enroll three participants at the same flat rate, which still lowers the effective cost to about $833 per person, less than the Counseling Pair rate of $875 per person. The full value of this option is realized when four people enroll, lowering the cost to $625 per person.
